As a kid growing up in a small northern Ontario town, my world consisted of watching Saturday morning cartoons, reading comic books, and building LEGO™creations. My creativity was sealed when I received the best gift of my life: the very first Apple Computer, which introduced me to computer-assisted drawing.

As an adult, I quickly gained traction as an Art Director, dedicating 15 years to the role with Creative Services / Nelvana Enterpises , part of industry giant Corus Entertainment’s family of companies, eventually counting more than 100 major brands in my portfolio.

Provided creative concept and creative controls in creating 50+ Brand Licensing Style Guides, packaging and promotional materials.  Provided promotional images for 100+ properties for use in International markets.

Working in a large corporate environment, I collaborated with many departments and also with clients with different requirements and opinions; I developed the ability to handle many projects and come up with styles and campaigns that exceeded all stakeholder needs – and rocked the markets.

Delivered on art and creative input on marketing, advertising, web, gaming, home entertainment, event, trade shows, and secondary product lines.

I provided my teams with leadership, strong creative and strategic vision, and mentoring. I was responsible for the creative design and output with oversight of the in-house creative team and processes, ideation, presentation, and execution of branding and marketing communications, art production, ads, campaigns, trade shows, live events, mascots, interactive, product concepts and direction.  And for managing concurrent budgets and competing project timelines. I am organized and deadlined oriented.

My team earned repeated recognition with Corus corporate awards, notably 3x winners of the Presidents Award and one Creative Spark Award.

I am considering offers to join a progressive, energetic company that requires an insanely artistic and uber-productive art and creative director. Let’s talk!
